Ro Shaw

Ceramic Artist, Wood Worker, Object Maker

 

Ro Shaw is a Texas based artist currently working in Salado, Tx, just outside Austin.  Shaw, has always been passionate about creating and sharing his art anywhere there is an opportunity to show or demonstrate.  Ro received his B.F.A from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and an M.F.A from Texas Tech University.  While at Texas Tech he had the opportunity to teach Ceramics, 3-D design and also managed the School of Art wood shop for a number of years.  Shaw's work is included in many public collections and publications such as Raku, Saggar, Pit, Barrel:  Alternative Firing Techniques by James C. Watkins and Paul Wandless, 500 Handmade Books by Lark Publishing and Ceramics monthly magazine.  Recently Ro was featured in the March 2017 issue of Texas Monthly Magazine,  120 HIDDEN OUT-OF-THE-WAY B&B'S, EATERIES AND SHOP WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED (OR REDISCOVERED).
